Blessing for Stage 6

On the last day of April we marked the start of Kenepuru Landing Stage 6, with a sod turning ceremony and blessing. It was a chance to pause before the busy work begins - acknowledging the whenua, the people connected to it, and the partnership required to deliver great outcomes for the community.

Moments like this matter. A blessing sets the tone: we start with respect, we listen, and we keep safety - cultural and physical - at the centre of how we work on site. Thank you to Dr Taku Parai from Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira for leading the karakia.

Stage 6 will deliver a diverse mix of housing and apartments, reflecting a distinct urban character and relationship to topography, views, and public space. The masterplan for this project reflects Ngāti Toa values through integrated design, infrastructure, and community provision.

We’ll share updates as the development progresses. If you’d like to follow along, keep an eye on the Kenepuru Landing and Toa Developments websites.
